モビールのプロトタイプ。
アルミパイプと釣りで使用するゴムを使って丸にカットした生地を均等に並べる。一番下は荒川グリップを使うことでオモリの役割にもなり、綺麗な光沢で全体をまとめてくれる。また生地には軽さもある為、緩やかな風でも波の様に上下、左右に静かに揺れてくれる。土台をどうするか検討中。今は糸巻きコーンを少しアレンジして使用している。
今から風が気持ち良くなる季節。それまでには完成させたい商品。

生地の凹凸感の中にまっすぐなカットが入る事で、よりシャープな形が浮かび上がる。糸がほつれる事もなく、空気の動きを感じながらゆらゆらと空間を泳ぐ。

実はこの生地は２３０年以上歴史がある播州織エリアで織、加工を行っており、今までの歴史と新たなアイディアで形へと変化している。

弊社の中で使われなくなった生地を使って新たに作るプロダクト。
独自に開発を進めていた布を硬くする技術。綿ベースの先染め生地を使用する為、柄を生かしたデザインを作ることが出来る。
環境に優しい素材のみ使い、最後はゴミにならない物作りの方法を考える。
色々なご縁がありMilano design weekにてDebutすることが出来ました。
ここからは色々な展開で自然に優しい物作りを目指して取り組んでいきます。

Thinking about the possibilities of textiles
New products made using fabrics that are no longer used in our wearhouse.

2022年10月に家業でもある大化産業（ダイカ）へ入社。大化産業は兵庫県西脇市にある産元商社になります。かつては国内で高いシェア率を持っていた先染織物。時代の流れでコストの削減、技術面などを理由に生産数量が年々減少傾向となっている。より身近な環境で物作りの現場を目で見て、肌で感じ、まず自分に何が出来るのかを模索する日々が続きました。その中で2022年12月ごろから独自の開発をスタートする。アップサイクルをベースに播州織を硬くする技術の実験を行い、何ヶ月もかけてそこそこの形まで持ってくる事が出来ました。今まで柔らかかった生地がボード状の硬さとなり、また先染織物の柄をそのまま使う事ができる。
ただ過去の生地を利用するアップサイクルでは産地は潤わない。現場はやはり物作りをする事で次の一手を打つことが出来ると考えています。２３０年以上続く先染め織物の技術、様々な設備を最大限に活用することで、今までには無かった新しい織物を開発し、発信する事が私に出来る事と考えています。
今回アップしているBANSHUORI FABRIC MASKも西脇で織り、加工した生地を使った作品になります。通常の加工後は衣類にも使える生地ですが、特殊加工を行うことで生地を硬く変化させることが出来ます。一つの素材から色々なアイテムへ変化することが出来るのが今回の素材の魅力でもある。
今後はこの技術を使いブランディングを目指す。今後の展開を温かい目で見ていただければ幸いです。

Thinking about the possibilities of textile.
In October 2022, I have joined Daika Sangyo, which is my family business company based in Nishiwaki city, Hyogo prefecture. This area is famous of Yarn-dyed textiles and once had a high market share in Japan. Due to the trend of the times, the production volume has been decreasing year by year due to cost reduction and technological issues. I spent many days exploring what I could do by seeing and feeling the manufacturing process in a more familiar environment. Among them, I have started our own development from December 2022. I experimented with techniques to stiffen Banshu-ori based on up-cycle, and over many months, I was able to bring it to a decent shape. The previously soft fabric now has the hardness of a board, and the patterns of yarn-dyed fabrics can be used as is.
However, up-cycle which uses past fabrics, does not benefit the production area. We need to keep producing the amount of textiles everyday so we can take the next step.So I use BANSHU-ORI textile technology that has been used for over 230 years and various equipment, I will be able to develop and disseminate new textiles that have never existed before. The BANSHUORI FABRIC MASK is also using woven textile and produced in Nishiwaki. After regular finishing, the fabric can be used for clothing, but special finishing can make the fabric harder. The appeal of this material is that one material can be transformed into various items.

この度色々なご縁が重なり、大化産業とKAIRI EGUCHI STUDIOがタッグを組み新しい播州織のカタチをミラノデザインウィークにて発表する事が決まりました。大化産業が独自に開発を進めてきた技術（特許出願済み）と江口さんが創り出すプロダクトデザインのコラボ企画になります。

Tofu 塗布
布の塗り絵

「布で遊ぶ」をコンセプトに、今までとは違った方向で物作りを考えてみました。
子供から大人まで一緒になって遅べる商品の提案、またそれを長く使えて記念に残る事。その一つが布の塗り絵「Tofu 塗布」になります。
日本のへそが長年得意としている織物産業。ここをベースに大正6年創業の機屋４代目と一緒になって楽しい打ち出しを考える。ジャカード織を使って細かいラインを織で表現するとこで、紙とは違った感覚で塗り絵を楽しむ事が出来る。
塗るだけではなく、刺繡もすることができる為、色々な組み合わせでオリジナルのキャンバスを彩ることが出来ます！
色々なイベントでワークショップも開催しており、お誘い頂ければどこへでも伺います！！
